It is such a wonderful time of
year! We love the lights, the music, the colors, the food, and the wonderful feelings
of love and cheer. We are excitedly looking forward to having our family home
for the holidays. We hope each of you enjoy peace, happiness, and good health this
holiday season.
The big event of our year was the
marriage of our youngest daughter Alyna to Kevin Hammons in March. It was
marvelous to have all the family home and it was a beautiful wedding. Alyna and Kevin are now living and working in
Utah County.
We had a short vacation in Sweden
and Norway this summer, following a medical conference in Gothenburg. It was so beautiful and very interesting to be
so far north during the summer solstice.
It’s great to have so much daylight when you spend long hours driving
and sight seeing but a little strange to go to bed when it is still light.
Our Son-in-law, Jeran, defended
his thesis and earned his PhD in pharmacology.
While he was busy finishing that up, Mindy started her own software
programming company. They have both been
extremely busy. They are expecting their first baby, a girl, in March.
We were fortunate to be able to
travel to visit most of our kids,
.
-Lisa, Cameron, Ben and Caleb were
able to meet us in Chicago and then we all went down to their home in Bloomington,
Indiana for a couple of days. They are
expecting a baby girl in March.
-We were able to go down to
Albuquerque, New Mexico for Sandia Family Day and got to see what Andrew is
working on. We took a little trip to
Santa Fe and Los Alamos with Andrew, Lindsay, Riley and Tanner.
-We went to Atlanta and were able
to spend time with Jessica and Chase as well as Annette’s sister, Kara.
We were able to buy a small home
in Washington, Utah (near St George) so we traveled there frequently. We are seeing a lot more of Southern Utah and the great national parks.
